Under Construction

Inspired by a chain letter e-mail (kudos to Shaggy and to everyone who responded), I decided to construct and help maintain this blog site for all Tekoa staff alumni to post pictures and stories of their years at camp. I also would like this blog to be an invitation to staff and campers to comment with uplifting and humorous stories in response. Think of it as a growing collection of Tekoa folklore.

More to come as I get the word out to others.

David,

Man, this is a great idea. I kept thinking the same thing, but more of a message board, so you beat me to it. I kept thinking, "man it'd be nice to share and create some community with this email stuff" (actually I fail to remember what I actually thought, but that should suffice). Hope folks get into it...totally down with your ground rules... Though, that cuts out every one of my "Country Hampton's Greatest Hits" stories... Nah, just kidding...David Hampton is still the counselor I would want my kids spending a week with...thought that then, still think it now. By the way, I love serving at your home church. I'd love to hear about half of the stuff you remember and how much it has or has not changed. Holla back Country!

Cheers,
Chris

Chris,
Thank you for the kind words. Are you referring to the weekend road trip/failed attempt to shoot off fireworks on 4th of July story? I can't remember what year that was ('92 or'93 I think)! If it's something more scintillating than that, my mind escapes me! I don't expect everyone to wax poetic on their experiences, but I do hope more people are willing to share stories, or just comment to others' posts like you did. Hope things are going well at Morris Chapel!
